Medellin Restaurant Guide
Most of the best Restaurants are located in "Parque LLeras" (pronounced Parque Jeras)  also known as Zona Rosa!   Medellin's nightlife centers around the bright lights of the resturants, bars and clubs of Parque LLeras.  This  is without a doubt the "In-Spot" to eat lunch, dinner, drink, meet new friends and party.  You will find  over 20 open-air restaurants, bars and discos with international cuisine, typical Colombian dishes and all types of entertainment. Starting  Thursday night and continuing into the weekends the Parque host non-spot entertainment, night life, single women, and a lot of excitement!
Parque LLeras Restaurant Guide

About Parque LLeras:
Parque LLeras is a fashionable tree-lined park surrounded by enchanting sidewalk cafes, open-air restaurants, bars and discos.  Restaurants in the Parque offer a variety of international cuisine and typical Colombian dishes. After dusk, the party begins with overflowing crowds of after-work singles and the sounds of Colombian music.  This is a place you don't want to miss!

How to Get There:  Call or hail a taxi and tell the driver "Parque LLeras (
pronounced Parque Jeras), Por favor".    If your staying at a hotel or apartment in the Poblado area (which we recommend) it will be a short ride that will cost the minimum taxi fare of 3,500 pesos.  Youll know the minute you arrive in Parque LLeras because of its bright lights and party atmosphere.  Have the taxi drop you off in the middle of the Parque and walk around until you find a restaurant that you like.  All the restaurants and bars are located alongside each other so take your pick!

Where to Eat & Drink (recommended favorites):

Basilica...........
My favorite restaurant in the Parque is "Basilica.  With an international menu, easy going atmoshere, and great service.  Dinner for two with wine is about 60,000 pesos ($30.00). Its also located in one of the best locations for people watching and making new friends.

La Triada............Is a very popular open-air restaurant with a stylish lounge, orange neon bar and low-slung couches.  Their menu has a great selection of appetizers, beef, chicken, fish, and pasta entrees.  Try the tortilla Soup its delicious.  Get there early for dinner because this is a local hangout for Colombians who make dinning and drinking an all night affair.

ReCova (Hot-Spot in Spanish)........This is one of those great Restaurants/Bars that people like to sit back and relax with a cool drink or two.  ReCova is strategically located on the corner of Parque Lleras and the view of the park and people watching is excellent.  The service is fast and friendly with waiters that speak a little English.  This is one place you don't want to miss on a Friday or Saturday night. Ask for the 2 for 1 drink special early in the evening.
